1. Development of Skeletal Muscle Fibers from Patient-Derived Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs)

   Rochester, Minn.

   The goal of this study is to create a repository of skin fibroblasts from patients with inherited myopathies or suspected inherited myopathies. The study will optimize the development of skeletal muscle cells from patient induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and to characterize their morphological, biochemical, electrophysiological and molecular properties. The study will also use skin fibroblasts as source of DNA to investigate for research purpose the genetic defect causing the myopathy, and test in future potentially therapeutic drugs in the iPSC-derived muscle cells.

2. In Vivo Development of Phosphorus Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology

   Rochester, Minn.

   The goal of this study is to evaluate and optimize our existing phosphorus MRI head coil and imaging sequence on healthy human volunteers. 

3. Mayo Clinic Vestibular Schwannoma Quality of Life Index Assessment

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of the study is to conduct cognitive testing of the recently published Mayo Clinic Vestibular Schwannoma Quality of Life (VSQOL) Index.

4. A Study to Evaluate the Spectrum of Healthy Pediatric Inflammatory Responses to Vaccinations

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to understand the role of systemic inflammation in the genesis of seizures in susceptible children by gaining a clearer understanding of the spectrum of inflammatory responses that occur in healthy children post-vaccinations.

5. Extension Study to Evaluate How Safe and Tolerable NBI-921352 is as an Adjunctive Therapy for Subjects With SCN8A-DEE

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of NBI-921352 when administered for up to 106 weeks. Also, to investigate the effect of NBI-921352 on long-term seizure control.
