Biographical summary
Awais Malik, M.D., is a cardiologist with additional board certifications in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, and expertise in the diagnosis and management of cardiac amyloidosis. His clinical and research interests encompass use of innovative strategies and artificial intelligence techniques to promote early diagnosis, and integration of multidisciplinary care of patients with cardiac amyloidosis. He also focuses on investigation of therapies for prevention and treatment of cardiac amyloidosis.
In addition to cardiac amyloidosis, Dr. Malik has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of other infiltrative cardiomyopathies and implementation of strategies for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
Dr. Malik is an Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He is active in education and mentorship of medical students, residents and fellows.
