Biographical summary
Dr. Shanterian King, D.O., is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) with subspecialty training and certification in Sports Medicine. She completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where she served as a chief resident in her final year. After residency, she completed her PM&R Sports Medicine Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Square in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During her fellowship, she assisted with the care of the Minnesota Lynx (WNBA), Minnesota Twins (MLB), Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA), University of Northwestern St. Paul athletes (NCAA Division III) and North Central University (NCAA Division III) athletes while also developing her skills in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound.
As a physiatrist and sports medicine specialist, Dr. King has a special interest in the treatment of musculoskeletal sports-related injuries, adaptive and para sports, integration of ultrasound for injury
diagnosis and ultrasound-guided injections and procedures. She enjoys working to keep people active and working with athletes of all levels to get them back to the activities they enjoy.
