Biographical summary
Dr. Marin Chavez is a Senior Associate Consultant in the Division of Vascular/Endovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Phoenix, where she has worked since 2024. She completed her fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic after a General Surgery residency at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Chavez holds a medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, alongside a B.A. in Fine Arts and a B.S. in Biology from Arizona State University and Colorado State University.
Dr. Chavez has received multiple awards, including the Jack Barney Award for best paper at the Southwest Surgical Congress and the Best Resident Paper Award from the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma. She is certified as a Mayo Clinic Quality Fellow and has contributed to numerous presentations at national and regional conferences. Dr. Chavez is active in mentorship and volunteer roles, particularly with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
A member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of Vascular Surgery, and other professional organizations, Dr. Chavez integrates her artistic background into patient education and remains committed to both clinical excellence and community service.
